Vision and process. What do we need to do today so Fredericton in 2040 is ok? How we can make this happen is with a better decision-making process. This campaign will focus these two themes through several different topics.

Contact me through the Dennis Atchison Ward 1 Facebook page (where most of the campaign will appear), or: 165 Burpee St. 506-474-0766   dennis@dennisatchison.com

Some of you may know of my show - THE DENNIS REPORT - (on Facebook, Youtube, and thedennisreport.ca - under reconstruction). Over seven years, 200 + interviews ... authentic, in-depth conversations specific to New Brunswick, but also much larger than geography.

This may be boring, but here is my résumé for those so inclined.

Bilingual (Je suis né au Québec, mais sa prend un peu de temps de recouvrer mon francais.)

Masters Sociology
University of New Brunswick/University of Manitoba
- How volunteer organizations build community, social integration/cohesion theory, play theory, language theory.

Bachelor of Arts – Honours Sociology/Major English  Bishops University, Lennoxville Que.
- Play theory, analytical theory, how humans maintain social cohesion in the absence of formal direction, alternative ways of knowing/seeing, creativity

Current Activity - July 2012 to present
The Dennis Report television show: Focused on how everything is connected, the show features prominent individuals and their passions, perspectives and heart on major issues of the day both provincially and nationally. The style of the show allows guests to "finish their thought" and to speak from the heart ... something not often found in media today.

Facilitation: Over the past six years facilitated about 40 events or “gatherings” implementing Open Space Forum, World Cafe or ProAction Cafe techniques. Past clients: New Maryland, Moncton, St. Andrew’s and Fredericton on Age Friendly Communities: several Wellness Branch sessions on Food Security; UNB and McCain Foundation Provincial Gathering on Literacy; Hanwell on community development; Fredericton Exhibition land-use; Fredericton District Soccer Association; Beer On The Bridge (Sunrise Rotary) are some examples.

Greater Fredericton Social Innovation - May 2004 – 2020
Fredericton needs a way and a place to bring together the many "silos" (business needs, government needs, social needs, environment needs etc) ... and the social innovation network's goal is to manifest that connection. Along with several others, I helped create and coordinate Greater Fredericton Social Innovation (GFSI) – a network of networks.
