Sasha Dence: History, current challenges, and the heart of change (Community)
Sometimes a show can simply be about a stellar conversation. Such is this interview. In the spirit of "My Dinner With Andre", Ms. Dence takes us on a multi-varied and multi-layered look on how our history has lead us into our current state of affairs ... from politics, to economy, to family. From there we explore aspects of each, weaving into the conversation potential for social change. Ms. Dence holds a Phd., three years seminary training, taught university, published author - Falling Ice won the 2012 H. R. Percy Prize from WFNS - mother, MS survivor. She describes herself this way, "I'm a Buddhist, Jewish Christian with Hindu leanings sympathetic to Unitarians and secular humanists and still on the fence about Islam."

As I See It: NB provincial debt - Thoughts on Improving Voter Turn Out
Voter behavior will come out in New Brunswick's provincial election this September. This As I See It from 2015 outlines some behaviors that must change if people want politics to change. 198,000 people did not vote in the last provincial election. The distrust of politicians and the influence of big money and the elite business class is extremely high. At the same time the challenges we face - senior care, education improvement, protecting water, and much more - demand our society "get-it-together".  The politics will change when the voters change ... and this As I See It is about how to do it.
